Summary: The FDA’s Circulatory System Devices Advisory Committee overwhelmingly recommended approval of Edwards Lifesciences’ Sapien transcatheter heart valve (THV) model 9000TFX, sizes 23 mm and 26 mm, with the RetroFlex 3 Delivery System for transfemoral delivery in patients with severe aortic stenosis who are inoperable for open aortic valve replacement.
